Scott Grainger
Executive Director

Scott has resided in the TLC service area for over 45 years. He attended the local public school system before earning an associate's degree in public service from Horry/Georgetown Technical College and a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies (focus on psychology, sociology, and business) from Coastal Carolina University.

He earned a master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University, which is a Christian University that incorporates the learning of biblical principles into every course. Prior to becoming a licensed professional counselor supervisor, a board-certified professional Christian counselor, and a nationally certified counselor, Scott worked locally in law enforcement, juvenile justice, and social services.

He has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 15 years during which time he has provided individual, group, and family therapies in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Trish Biddix

Trish earned a BS in psychology and business management, and an MA in organizational management. She has the experience in private sector, public sector, and nonprofit organizations spanning a variety of industries, including law, education, and defense. The majority of her career, however, has been in service to children and families, most of whom were involved in delinquency and/or dependency proceedings.

Her professional background includes diverse experience in program administration, training and development, public relations and marketing, event planning, and teaching at the junior high, high school, and post-secondary levels. Trish has an extensive history of volunteer service with multiple organizations worldwide where she held a variety of board and leadership positions and continues to serve as a pro bono consultant for various agencies.

Russell is employed with Conway National Bank. He attended Coastal Carolina University and has retired as a Chaplain's Assistant after 20 years’ experience in the South Carolina National Guard. He is an active participant in Youth League sports coaching football, baseball, and softball.

He is a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church where he is an assistant Sunday School Teacher and Trustee. He has previously served as an executive board member for Pee Dee Elementary School.

Tamara has been employed by the Horry County School District at Homewood Elementary School for 25 years. Her current position is a curriculum specialist, in which she is responsible for organizing and supervising numerous clerical and statistical functions.

She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in reading and curriculum. In her position, she works with many children and families who are at or near the poverty level. She has assisted in projects to relieve the less fortunate including Angel Tree, Back-pack Buddies, and Operation Christmas Child.

Kim is a curriculum coach at Homewood Elementary School in Conway where she has over 20 years’ experience working with children in a Title One school. She attended Coastal Carolina University and earned her master’s degree in reading curriculum from Grand Canyon University.

She is a member of the Jamestown Baptist Church where she has been a Sunday school teacher, Awana preschool teacher, Girls in Action leader, and serves on the Children's Committee. Kim has devoted her time to mission work with her church and her community.

Chaplain

John F. Holmes was born and raised in Conway, SC. He is a 1983 graduate of Conway High and attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College. After 14 years of service with Santee Cooper, John "surrendered to the call of God to preach the gospel." After five years traveling and sharing the Gospel, he accepted the pastorate of Cherry Hill Baptist Church in Loris, SC, where he served from October 2003 to December 2012.

In 2012, John founded the BestShot Foundation, a charitable nonprofit that is building a network of resources to help individuals discover and develop their talents and abilities while providing them direction and support along their journey.

In addition, he is currently the lead pastor for Pine Grove Baptist Church located in Conway, South Carolina.

John is married to Cherlyn Holmes and they have two sons, Colby and Grant. John identifies his mission as "living a life to serve others and to enhance their lives for a greater and more fulfilling purpose."

Clint Hardwick is a bi-vocational pastor and church planter. He is a cancer survivor who is married, has two daughters, and a granddaughter. Over the past three decades, he has served in management and administrative roles for three retail corporations and one construction company. Additionally, Clint owns and operates a mechanical contracting company, and manages Terry’s Hardware in Conway, SC. He recently began pastoring Purpose Church in Aynor, SC. Formerly, Clint served as a board member for Beautiful Feet Ministries of Tanzania. Currently, Clint serves on the board of Coastal Schools Ministries as well as Truth Love & Counseling. Clint’s life experience offers a variety of insight in strategic planning and public relations.

Shamara Kinlaw is a native of Conway, South Carolina. She enjoys reading, exercising and spending time with her husband and two boys. Shamara is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Education in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership. She has been serving the children of Horry County for over 16 years, including her current role as the assistant principal for Aynor Elementary School, were she enjoys nurturing the academic, social and emotional growth of her students.
